Common Topics

1) Save Mode vs Chat Mode

• Save Mode: your input is parsed into structured records (trip, reminder, note, etc.).
• Chat Mode: conversational responses only, no new memory record is created.
• If you do not want auto-saving, switch to Chat Mode before sending.

2) AI Mode, BYO Token, and Paid Subscription

• Local Mode works without API keys, but extraction quality may be simpler.
• Bring Your Own Token: use your own provider/API key (OpenAI/Gemini/DeepSeek/OpenRouter). Provider fees are billed by that provider.
• Paid Subscription: unlock Recalla Pro AI service in-app (Monthly/Yearly), with platform-managed model fallback.
• You can configure or switch modes in Settings > AI Assistant.

3) Subscription, Restore, Upgrade and Manage Plan

• Available plans: Monthly and Yearly (storefront price/currency may vary by region).
• Tap Restore to recover an existing purchase on the same Apple account.
• Upgrade/downgrade/cancel is handled by Apple via Manage Plan (Apple Subscriptions page).
• When switching plans, effective time can be immediate or next renewal cycle based on Apple's subscription policy.

4) Voice Input and Language Recognition

• Grant microphone permission in iOS Settings for Recalla.
• For mixed-language speech, speak slightly slower and avoid overlapping phrases.
• If recognition quality drops, stop and restart recording once.

5) Trip Plan Generation

• Generate Plan uses a structured template to output readable travel content.
• You can edit and save the generated plan in detail pages.
• If AI is unavailable, local fallback may return shorter/less detailed plans.

6) Reminders, Alarm and Notifications

• Enable notifications in iOS Settings to receive reminders and alarm alerts.
• Alarm records can be created by chat/voice or from quick action icons.
• If alerts do not fire, verify Focus/Do Not Disturb and notification permission.

7) Attachments and Media

• You can attach images and supported files to memory details.
• Image text parsing can be toggled on/off before sending.
• If parsing is off, files are still saved as attachments.

8) Data and Safety Notes

• Most data is stored on your device locally.
• AI-generated content may be inaccurate. Please verify important facts and dates yourself.
• Do not rely solely on generated output for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

When Contacting Support

• Device model and iOS version.
• App version/build number.
• What happened vs expected behavior.
• Screenshots and the exact error text (if any).
• If AI-related: provider, model name, and whether test connection passed.
