Recalla is developed by MAX AI Studio. Recalla is designed with a local-first approach: your records are primarily stored on your device.

Data Collection

We do not run a mandatory cloud account system for basic usage. Core records (notes, reminders, trips, ideas, mood entries, attachments metadata) are stored locally on your device.

AI Features and Third-Party Providers

Recalla supports two AI paths:

• Bring Your Own Token (BYO): you can configure your own API key (such as OpenAI/Gemini/DeepSeek/OpenRouter). Requests are sent to the provider you choose.
• Paid Subscription: if subscribed, Recalla can use platform-managed AI routing (with provider fallback) without requiring your own key.

For BYO mode, API usage and billing are governed by your selected provider's terms and pricing. For subscription mode, billing is handled by Apple via your App Store subscription.

Subscriptions and Billing

• Subscription plans include Monthly and Yearly options (availability and price may vary by country/region and storefront currency).
• You can restore existing purchases in the app by using the Restore action.
• Upgrade/downgrade/cancellation is managed by Apple Subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
• Renewal status, effective date, and expiration timing follow Apple's subscription system and policies.

Permissions

• Microphone: for voice capture and speech-to-text input.
• Photos/Files: for adding image/document attachments.
• Notifications: for reminders and alarm notifications.
• Calendar (optional): when you choose to add events to iPhone Calendar.
• Location (optional): for map pin and location context when saving events.

Data Retention

Local data remains on your device unless you delete it. If you uninstall the app, iOS may remove app-local data.

Safety and Accuracy Disclaimer

AI-generated content can be incomplete or inaccurate. Please verify important details independently and do not rely solely on generated output for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

Children's Privacy

Recalla is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
