Recalla Privacy Policy

Recalla is developed by MAX AI Studio. Recalla is designed with a local-first approach: your memories, reminders, categories, and most app data are stored on your device by default.

Data Collection

We do not require a mandatory cloud account for normal use. Core records such as notes, reminders, trips, ideas, categories, and attachment metadata are stored locally on your iPhone unless you delete them.

AI Parsing and OpenAI

When you choose AI-powered features, relevant content may be securely transmitted to OpenAI for parsing, summarization, or structured organization.

• This may include text you type, voice transcripts, image content, and nearby context needed to understand your memory.
• Recalla does not keep those cloud-parsed contents stored long-term on its own servers.
• If AI quota is unavailable or you use local-only mode, Recalla can fall back to local parsing on your device.

OpenAI processes requests according to its own policies and terms. Please avoid submitting highly sensitive content unless you are comfortable using cloud AI processing for that request.

Subscriptions and Billing

• Recalla currently offers one monthly subscription plan for AI access.
• Billing, renewal, restore, cancellation, and subscription management are handled by Apple through your App Store account.
• Subscription availability, storefront price, and currency may vary by region.

Permissions

• Microphone: for voice capture and speech-to-text input.
• Photos/Files: for adding image/document attachments.
• Notifications: for reminders and alarm notifications.
• Calendar (optional): when you choose to add events to iPhone Calendar.
• Location (optional): for map pin and location context when saving events.

Data Retention

Local data remains on your device unless you delete it. If you uninstall the app, iOS may remove app-local data stored by Recalla.

Safety and Accuracy Disclaimer

AI-generated content can be incomplete or inaccurate. Please verify important details independently and do not rely solely on generated output for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions.

Children's Privacy

Recalla is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
