Common Topics

1) Writing or Speaking a Thought

• Type directly into the text field on Home, or tap a feeling tile (Angry, Worried, Frustrated, Sad, Overthinking, Annoyed) to start from a prompt.
• Tap the microphone to dictate using on-device Speech recognition. Tap it again, or pause, to stop listening. You can always edit the text afterward.
• On the Review screen, you can edit your text before choosing how to let it go.

2) Rituals

• VentAway offers 18 rituals across three families: Release (Burn It, Shred It, Drown It, Blow It Away, Smash It, Send It to Space), Soothe (Hug It, Wrap It Gently, Breathe Into Light, Let It Settle, Sip Warmth, Tide Rock), and Transform (Plant It, Melt It Away, Fold Into a Boat, Lantern Release, Turn to Stars, Make a Pearl).
• All 18 rituals require the one-time Lifetime Unlock purchase — there is no free ritual. You can preview any of them in the Explore tab before buying (see below).
• You can set a default release method in Settings, or choose one each time.
• You can leave any ritual before it finishes; nothing is saved either way, since VentAway never stores what you wrote.

3) Explore

The Explore tab previews every ritual using sample text, not anything you've written — it's a way to see what each ritual looks like before you buy Lifetime Unlock. Using a ritual with your own words requires Lifetime Unlock.

4) Lifetime Unlock

• Lifetime Unlock is a one-time, non-consumable purchase that unlocks all 18 rituals, plus any future ritual we add, forever — no subscription.
• If you've already purchased it on this Apple Account, use Restore Purchases in Settings or on the Lifetime Unlock screen.

5) Sound, Haptics, and Reduce Motion

You can turn sound and haptics off in Settings. Reduce Motion replaces each release animation with a simple, instant release — useful if motion is uncomfortable for you or you just want it to be quick.

6) Not Therapy or a Crisis Service

VentAway is an expressive tool, not therapy, medical advice, or a crisis service. If you are in immediate danger, please contact local emergency services or someone you trust.

When Contacting Support

VentAway does not automatically send diagnostic information or the text you wrote. Contacting support is optional. Share only the details you are comfortable providing:

• Device model and iOS version.
• What happened and what you expected.
• Which release method or screen was involved.
