SayKind is developed by MAX AI Studio. SayKind helps you say a difficult thing kindly: you describe a moment, SayKind offers a few message options to choose from, and you can turn the one you like into a shareable card. SayKind has no account and does not save your messages or cards anywhere but your own device.
The moments you describe, the message options generated for them, the message you choose, any card image you save (the finished picture with your words on it), the optional name and photo you add to your profile, and app settings such as your language are stored only on your device, in a local app database and as local image files. None of this is uploaded to MAX AI Studio or synced to any account — there is no SayKind account to sync to. If you delete the app, this local data is deleted with it.
Turning your situation into message options, refining a message, and drafting a reply are AI features powered by OpenAI. When you request one of these features, SayKind securely sends only the content needed for that request through MAX AI Studio's server to OpenAI:
Settings lets you add your own name and a photo, and choose whether to show them at the bottom of the cards you make. Both are stored only on your device (the photo as a local image file), are never uploaded anywhere, and are entirely optional — leaving them blank does not limit anything else in the app. Choosing a photo uses your device's photo picker; SayKind only receives the single image you select, not access to your wider photo library.
A card is the picture you create by combining a background with your message text. Cards are composed and rendered entirely on your device. When you tap Save, the finished image is written to a folder inside SayKind's own app storage and a record is added to your local library (the Saved tab) — this never leaves your device. When you tap Share, the finished image is handed to iOS's own share sheet so you can send it through whatever app you choose. When you tap Download from a saved card, the image is written directly to your device's Photos library using iOS's own add-only photo permission — SayKind cannot read or browse your existing photos, only add the one image you chose to download. SayKind itself never uploads or posts anything on your behalf.
SayKind Plus is an optional, auto-renewing annual subscription that unlocks AI message generation. Subscribing and billing are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store — SayKind never sees your payment details. To confirm your subscription is active and to track your remaining AI generations for the year, your device sends Apple's purchase receipt to our server for verification, and our server keeps a randomly generated, install-specific token together with a count of how many AI messages you've generated this subscription period. This token is not linked to your name, Apple ID, or any other personal identifying information, and cannot be used to identify you. Cards, saved messages, and all other app data remain on your device regardless of subscription status.
SayKind does not have an account system, does not use cloud sync, does not use third-party advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not track you across other apps or websites.
Local app data remains on your device until you delete individual saved cards, clear them from the Saved tab, or uninstall the app. There is no copy of your messages or cards on our servers to retain. Subscription verification tokens and AI usage counters are retained only for as long as needed to enforce your subscription's annual allowance and are not linked to any personal data.
SayKind is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with an updated date.
