InfoMask is developed by MAX AI Studio. InfoMask helps you hide private details — faces, text, and other sensitive information — in screenshots and photos before you share them. InfoMask processes images locally: detection and masking happen entirely on your iPhone.
InfoMask uses Apple's on-device Vision framework to detect faces, text, and barcodes in the photos you choose. This detection, and the masking you apply, happens entirely on your device. Your original photos and the screenshots you redact are never uploaded to MAX AI Studio or any third party, and InfoMask has no account and no cloud sync.
Your app settings (auto-detection, default mask style, history preference), and — while "Save redacted copies in history" is enabled — copies of the redacted images you export, are stored locally in an app database and as local files. Original, unredacted photos are never modified or replaced. History entries stay on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app, and the app's local storage is excluded from iCloud and device backups. History is enabled by default and can be turned off in Settings.
InfoMask does not collect your personal information, photos, screenshots, detected text, or face information. Detection results and redacted images are processed locally, not sent to the developer. Choosing to share an image sends it only through the app or destination you select.
InfoMask's iOS Share Extension lets you redact a screenshot directly from the Photos app or another app's share sheet, using the same on-device detection and masking. Processing still happens entirely on your device.
Local app data, including any saved history entries, remains on your device until you delete them individually, clear your history, or uninstall the app. Uninstalling InfoMask removes all locally stored data.
InfoMask's detection is a suggestion, not a guarantee. It can miss details or mask the wrong area. Always review a redacted copy carefully before sharing or saving it — you are responsible for confirming that everything you intend to hide is actually hidden.
InfoMask does not collect personal information from children.
